It had been a while since Ava had last stepped in the crime lab in Miami. Or, well, this time thing was something perceived differently by each person at a time. For her, being away from her workplace for two whole weeks was an eternity, since she was used to living there more than she did in her own home. However, the last events at work, as well as in her personal life, had made her take a radical decision, which was a long vacation only for herself. She rarely did that; actually, she was not even sure that she had ever done that before. Usually, when she was upset or she felt like things weren't working for her, she buried in work in order to forget and let the feelings pass. However, this one time she felt like she was in need for a change, so for the first time in her life, she decided to follow her heart.

She had been in Spain in the past two weeks, so she was coming back at work slimmer and with a nice natural tan all over her body, which was great for her. At least, it helped with the self-confidence, if it hadn't solved any of the problems she had. She was not tired anymore however, so now she was surely in a better physical and psychical shape, which meant that she was going to deal with her problems better. She was even going to be better at work, and that was extremely important for her.

Dressed in a pair of black jeans, a white button-down shirt and high heels, she stepped inside the elevator, gently passing a hand through her long wavy hair.

Strikingly beautiful woman ran through corridor, trying not to miss elevator. She had stoic expression on her face, but she was excited to be here once again.

Her two months long holiday had helped her. Sri Lanka cleared her mind, erased bad memories of dying and rape, but honestly, she was excited to be back here, to catch bad guys and do her beloved job.
She was never gone for that long time, she practically lived here, but vacation was needed.

To tell the truth, she was curious about what has changed during her absence. She was curious about new people, about everything, but she kept that hidden.

She was dressed in black strapless crop-top revealing her toned stomach. Next, she wore black ripped shorts with pink ombre reaching to her waist. She had thin golden necklace with spikes on, and her black, high heeled shoes with oped toe click-clacked as she ran.

Her skin was slightly darker than her usual creamy complexion and her long, dark brown hair was piled in messy bun. She had bright pink lips and eyes framed by black liner.

She gripped some folders, badge and gun. She was here no more than ten minutes and they already needed her expertise.

She reached the elevator, gripped its doors to prevent it from closing and Mags bolted inside, colliding with some blonde CSI. She steadied herself and mouthed. „Oh, I am sorry.“ She had her usual ironic and sarcastic mask on, but she shot the woman half smile.

As soon as she was inside the elevator, Ava pulled out her cell-phone and checked her messages for the last time before she got back to work. She had been often told that she was addicted to her phone, but she couldn't be otherwise. Many of the messages and calls she received were related to her work, or they were from her family in Texas, so she couldn't ignore or postpone too much either of them.

She was rather startled when someone bumped into her, causing her to quickly look at the clumsy person in the elevator. And when she saw the woman, she couldn't help raising an eyebrow. She looked familiar, and Ava was rather sure that she had seen her at the lab a while ago. A long while ago, like a couple of months. However, seeing her... *cough cough* rather slutty outfit, it seemed that she was not working there anymore. A respectable CSI couldn't show up at her workplace dressed like a self-proclaimed princess guys pick up at nightclubs. Actually, nobody, no matter what their job was, could show up at their jobs dressed like that, seldom said job required a pole. Maybe she was just back to pick up some things she had forgotten in her office.

Hearing the apology, Ava gave the woman a cold smile, as she most often did. "It's okay," she replied. Seeing the things the woman was holding in her arms, Ava raised an eyebrow yet again. "What are you doing here?" she asked, not in an impolite or mean manner. "Dropping off some stuff?"

„Working here.“ She says, rather icily, raising eyebrow. Her tone is sarcastic, and she screeches her teeth to bite off poisonous remark.

She knows that blonde woman is making prejudices, everybody is, but she knows nothing about her and why is she dressed like that.

She is actually heading downstairs to pick some more accurate clothes, because if nothing, she is professional. And when you are called for job as soon as you land, it doesn't exactly give you much time to change.

„I am sure you heard about me. Bloody Mary, or Mags. And don't you worry about my clothing, if nothing I am professional. I just got off the plane when H called me. You see, I didn't exactly have time to stop at home. Triple homicide, lots of blood.

She voices her thoughts from earlier, her tone icy, but not ugly, merely tired of people looking at her like that. In a fact, there is small smile on her face, that can be described as sad, or disappointed.
